We pack everything. You don't lift a finger. Every item photographed before packing. Every item barcoded. Standard packing materials included in all storage plans.
Different items require different packing methods. Here is how we handle each item type from pickup to warehouse shelf.
Packed in 5-ply corrugated archive boxes (A4-compatible). Boxes sealed with packing tape. Box labelled with barcode, date, and client reference. Stored standing upright to prevent moisture seepage and structural deformation over long-term storage.
Individual bubble wrap pouch per item. Placed in a foam-lined corrugated carton. Anti-static bags used for sensitive circuit boards. Accessories zip-locked and barcoded separately so nothing is mixed or lost.
Foam cut-to-fit padding in custom cartons. ESD-safe packaging for circuit-sensitive equipment. Cable management with zip ties before packing. Weight limit per carton observed β no stacking risk.
Stretch-wrapped in HDPE film. Leg pads attached for wooden items to prevent scratching. Stacked to minimise floor footprint in the warehouse. Barcoded on the visible face for easy identification.
Double-boxed with foam padding between the inner and outer box. "Fragile" label applied on all visible faces. Stored in a dedicated fragile zone at the warehouse β not stacked on standard shelving.
Corner protectors applied and foam wrap used for all faces. Stored vertically in a dedicated section. Custom crating for very large or high-value pieces is available and quoted separately.
Standard materials are included in all plans. Custom materials are available on request for specialist items.

Every item is photographed before it is packed. This creates a documented record of condition at the point of handover β protecting both you and SafeStorage.
Every item is photographed before any packing material is applied. The photo captures the item's condition as received β any pre-existing damage is visible in the image.
Each photo is stored against the item's unique barcode in our digital inventory. You can view item photos in the client portal at any time.
If a damage claim arises on retrieval, the pre-packing photo is the reference point. It clearly shows condition at handover, preventing disputes about whether damage occurred in transit or was pre-existing.
You can request photo evidence for any stored item at any time. Our inventory team can share item photos via email within 4 business hours of a request.
